What drew you to voiles for your master bedroom?
“We have a stunning view of our garden from our bedroom and didn’t like the idea of blocking that view with a heavy material. Choosing the Voile material seemed like the perfect balance of privacy, lightness and texture while keeping the view.”
Would you say the curtains reflect your personal interior style? How so?
“Yes, these voiles reflect our interior personality perfectly, we adore light, bright, soft interiors that are timeless and these window treatments scream subtle sophistication.“
Designing with Intentions
How did you decide on this specific fabric and colour? How does it tie in with the rest of your décor?
“Our master bedroom is a very muted, paired back room. A place for rest and relaxation and we wanted the interiors in this room to reflect this feeling. We chose the Reveal fabric in the colour Halo, this was the perfect combination of textured sheer fabric with a bright off white tone. This fabric really keeps the fresh feeling we craved in here.”
What was your experience like choosing from The Fabric Box’s fabric range? Was it easy to find something that suited your style and space?
“Our experience with The Fabric Box was seamless from start to finish, from initial consultation and prompt delivery of an array of voile materials samples, it really made choosing our fabric enjoyable. With such a variety of samples in different textures and shades, we were certain we had found the perfect material for the space.”

Is there a particular detail or feature about the voile curtains that you especially love?
“We have 9ft ceilings in our home and we never truly appreciated them until the voiles had been hung, the sheer size of them placed from ceiling to floor gives such a dramatic feeling to our master bedroom. We adore the morning light diffusing through them when we wake and the subtle movement of them when the windows are open.”
You chose a triple pinch pleat heading for your voile curtains, what drew you to that style, and what does it bring to the space?
“We love the triple pinch pleat as it gives a studio McGee vibe to the space. Triple pleats are considered a very luxurious finish to window treatments. They sit so perfectly just kissing the floor. The voiles add another layer to our room and so much dimension that we didn’t know we needed.”

What advice would you give someone choosing window treatments for their bedroom?
“When choosing a window treatment ask yourself how you want to feel when your in the space? Do you want to feel relaxed and in touch with nature? Do you want a feeling of brightness and space or would you rather a dark enclosed feeling? Always consider the style of your room. Is it a contemporary space or something more traditional- always keep it cohesive with the rest of the interiors. And finally be true to your style, and what you love to look at day in day out.”
